Hawking Honor

Tomorrow Stephen Hawking gets another award this time it has flown on the space shuttle along with his photo. That is so freaking cool! I read "A Brief History of Time" a few years ago and the man deserves as many honors as we can give him.

I hope the duct tape (click image and look top left) on the shuttle hatch keeps matters from getting worse.

duck tape -- the handyman's secret weapon. I just shored up the bumper guard on my car with duck tape. Probably saved myself $200.

You are so right.
I didn't notice the duct tape until you pointed it out.
Yikes.

Yes, duct tape. Seeing as we Brits decided that we didn't really want to be involved with all that space thingy business, what with it meaning we'd have to work with Johnny Foreigner and all that, especially the Froggies or worse the Yanks, bloody hell chaps, we only do war with the Yanks, we have been kind enough to offer the expert assistance to your space programme of one of our finest plumbers/sparkies, and you can see the evidence of this witnessed by the aforementioned tape. Bet he got you to pay him in readies too, didn't he, and are you sure that's a genuine receipt? I'm guessing he signed in as R Dodger or D Menace...

I guess Krusty they paid by check drawn on the bank where they print money anyway. I love you Britts! You are always thinking a few moves ahead, perhaps they did some exchange for a ride if that is what readies are (my English-english ain't that good). Y'all invented chess didn't you, you crafty devils...er I mean blokes?

Thanks for coming by Krusty, I am headed your way!

sparkie = electrician
readies = nelsons = wonga = moolah = ready cash, notes, greenbacks, none of your paper or electronic money, matey, no, 'cause I'll have to put that through the bank, and then the tax man will know about it and want his share. It is an occasional practice, I understand, in some quarters, to offer a tradesman ready cash for work, in exchange for a discount (the VAT), and to split the difference. Usually this is when he is working a 'foreigner' for you.
R Dodger/D Menace = Roger the Dodger, Dennis the Menace, stars of The Beano, a leading British comic, gnash,gnash.

No-one understands my English, it is somewhat individual.

Individual you are Krusty! I like that about you old chap. Thanks for the English-english-via K.T.B. instruction.

Dag yo, I have been a sparkie all this time and didn't know it.
