A State Run Life

This man is on strike because his wife wants to mommy her way...not his.

Here is his blog I would not try a comment there because he has thousands of comments.

This man is about to have the State come in and run his life if the right lawyer calls momma and sells her the reality that she can have his guts in a can at her will. He will first get served his papers she is going to split and the only thing that will change is that daddy won't be here anymore. Then there is the inevitable Order of Protection because he yelled at her after the summons to divorce and made her fear for her life. He will never be trusted with a firearm in his State evermore. Then the State ran, Federal funded Child Support System will take most of his income because it is only what is best for the children. Federal funding numbers go up that day for the State. Then his little camping trip will become more permanent as his leftover income won't give much more than a refugee living for the next tewenty years. Every month he will get a not so friendly reminder of the States overwhelming power to sieze his liberties even if it is their fault if the numbers crunch wrong. We all know how wonderfully the State runs its own budget so it will not be their fault. If he works for someone the State will make contact with them and complicate that relationship too. Then he gets to see his children every other weekend if mommy don't plan other activities for them, not that he can afford to feed them or house them anymore unless he works every weekend.

His best bet from my experience is to shut his mouth and try and not think about the life he had before children and think about his life after the State Family court castrates him. I hope he gets smart and realises that he is powerless to strike because mommy's new boyfriend will raise his kids and spend his money anyway he likes and Daddy's only choice is to pay or die and nobody cares either way, it is best for the children this way. To ask for anything at this point will only make matters worse for this man.

Sometimes I just want to grill

I wish sometimes that I was African American or just plain black. It seems from the media that black folks enjoy their life more than us white muts. All the songs are about having money to spend on lavish doo-dads like grillz (see photo above and Nelly lyrics below), graphic sex or selling someone elses sex a.k.a pimping out ho's. I told my step-daughter about my fantasy of being black while we were digging on some hip-hop tunes and she thinks I am silly. I don't know how p.c. it is to wish I was black, and perhaps I don't care. I don't think I am being a biggot about it. I have never found race hate all that much fun so I don't think I am a klan man. I know one thing being low on the economic ladder bites no matter what color you are. Being lied to sucks no matter what color you are. Being sick is a bummer no matter the color of your skin. Being used for other peoples foul plans is a raw deal too. I wish I didn't wish.

(feat. Paul Wall, Ali, Gipp)

Rob the jewelry store and tell 'em make me a grill.

GOP Starts with Greed

I have not found much to say as of late. I find this little news story funny though.

Say boss, what was that PIN number again?

Zorb Idea

These balls are called Zorbs and in New Zeland they have courses where you can buy weekend packages like Snow Skiing where you roll down hills in these units. Some are very large and you can strap yourself in or do the free falling thing inside them. I have a dream to take one out on a river rapids trip or build a course where you roll down a hill like the one pictured into a rushing river and down a waterfall for the final rush. All I need now is the financial backing...any rich readers out there interested comment here. Heck even if you are not rich comment anyway it can't make matters any worse.

Cola Buzz

We had a really good soft drinkin' evening. I put them on ice in a sauce pan with some salt to super cool them. We found a cola that is a restart of an old product that was dwarfed by Coca-Cola way back when. The product is made with pure cane sugar not the dextrose stuff we normally see. It seems there was a big bottler of this product right here in Knoxville. -see photo below-

It was the only cola endorsed by the Babe too. -see photo below-

We watched the Nick Cage movie "Weatherman" and drank our soda which made my heart yearn for my father. The movie made me wonder if my adult life would have been better if he had not died when I was 24. He would have sure been welcome to help me plot a course into fatherhood, marriage, divorce and the other crap that has went down over the years.

On a happy note I have moved up a notch on the City of Knoxville food chain with about a 15% bump in pay. I may not be the best man for this lead job, but I took the test and passed. There are craftsmen who know their jobs far better than Jed does and they will be looking to me for input. Wish me well y'all.

Tacky Tuesday

I have passed by it several times and missed it too! This sign marks the county border of a county that lies next to my county and I never noticed. I saw it on the local news and felt like a dolt for never seeing the extra "F".

Eclipse of mind

I saw some odd news about a place where people are so uneducated the last time there was a solar eclipse they went into a riot. So their leaders are hoping to get them up to speed on the whole lunar spin before the next one.

Dear readers I was finding a strange similarity in my own fears. I guess I am always that way in my observations about the world. When all my needs are met I feel as if the whole rest of the world is doing well. I am certian that there is a name for that kind of thinking or emotional malaise.

Anyway I guess I am in that place where I just do not understand what is going on and I am ready to riot.

It seems we spend a lot of time educating our children about communication and the physical world yet we never get around to teaching emotional (inner communication) skills until something goes wrong. I know America does not have the money anymore to invest in the real wealth of our society with roads to build and our cars running out of gas. Health care and education are put aside for construction of more unaffordable housing here in Knoxville. I also see the similar poor investment from our big leaders because the only product made in America now is war.

This is my day dream and I can guess my own solutions for a better world if I want to. It is so hard to tell what is real and what is just a feel. I saw this loose change video it is a little Mike-Mooreish, but it was worth the time to watch.

Blessing update: I am damn glad I don't live in Chad!

I called the IRS to see what is up with our refund. I did speak to a real human but she did not speak English very well. It was as if I called tech support for my software.

I guess I expected to speak with someone who lives here or is in our country not India or China. I don't know why I expected to speak to an American. I have not spoke to anyone in big business who was here in the States in the past three years.

Perhaps I am bitter and I could be wrong, either way I have made matters worse by calling and thinking. I really should know by this point in my life to never assume that I can deal with our Government in any way.

I got my mind right here boss. Shutting up my mouth here boss.

Unknown News - Tacky Tale Tuesday

A few weeks ago while President Bush was cycling off road he hit some soft trail edge which landed him in deep muck beside a pond. His secret service agents attempted to get him free but managed to get stuck and the whole group was sinking.

Near the crash site there were two pre-teen boys doing some site prep for frog gigging later on that night and went to give rescue. The boys were equipped with ropes and some foam and wood blocks to stand on in the really soft mud. After they pulled the men free and to harder earth, the President was very pleased and told the boys he was going to give them a medal.

The twelve year old boys were a little worried about all the attention and asked if they could have something else. George said, "Well I guess you boys wouldn't care that much for a medal wood ya? What y'all got in mind?"

The first boy knew exactly what he wanted. "You know how you flew that jet and landed on that ship with the mission accomplished banner? That's what I want, to fly on one of them fighter planes," he said boldly.

Dubya looked at the agents then back to the boy and said, "Son, I think that is something the Commander of the Armed Services could make happen for y'all."

The second boy quickly said, "That ain't what I want! I want one of them plots in Washington D.C. where all the famous American Heros are buried."

George looked at him in disbelief and said, "You mean Arlington Cemetery? Why would a young boy like you care about that kind of thing?"

The boy looked down and replied, "Well when Daddy hears about me saving you from drowning, he's going to kill me."

Internet saves Jed money

I was thinking with all our money problems that we should cut our internet, cable and home phone services which are all bundled up together. We get all these services for less than $100.00 a month, but when things are tight one must consider ones options.

I have a Maytag washer and dryer combo that was not doing the spin cycle which was due to a circuit problem on an expensive circuit board and wax motor (actuator). I saved myself over $250.00 by using the wealth of information that kind folks who have the same washer problem did a web page. This is not the first time having services in my home have gained/saved me money. So I have decided to stay connected to the world...for now.

Yard Sale

We had all this stuff we were just going to throw away and my wife said we should at least try and plop it out for public sale. We are a few dollars to the plus on this day...that is welcome. Hell fire everything we have is for sale, forclosed or about to be!

I feel like a loser, I guess because I keep losing. I wonder if losing is some sort of addiction like my addiction to oil. Am I doing it for the rush or thrill or buzz? It is hard to tell what my motives are anymore. The only thing I want to do is contain matters by saying the only thing that worries me is me.

News Lame

I am going to quit reading the news...

"This bill will allow our law enforcement officials to continue to use the same tools against terrorists that are already used against drug dealers and other criminals, while safeguarding the civil liberties of the American people," Bush said in a statement (safely) from India.
I am just too simple of a man to understand. There are too many things to understand.

I want to suggest that in the next election we all vote to remove any one who is in office now. No incumbents, the whole damn batch has soured.

This is the first time in my life that the Vice President has had no goals to run for another office. Lame Duck and Lame Dick.

Please consider the idea to vote out all incumbents this November, I really don't think it would make matters any worse.
